Engomi, is a suburb of the Cyprus capital, Nicosia. It has a population of around 13,600 (2001 census). Engomi is mainly a residential neighbourhood with  large villas surounded by the large diplomatic presence of embassies of Egypt, France, Russia and the USA. It also includes a very important annexe to the powerful Monastery of Our Lady Eleousa.

Engomi also, enjoys a great number of shops including the Engomi Mall. It is home to the University of Nicosia and The European University of Cyprus. There are many entertainment establishments, from cafes to restaurants to a 6-screen Cinema.

Engomi is the modern heart of Nicosia.
